There are many avenues that you can choose to generate wealth and obviously it has to be something that you have a passion for. I've told my nieces/nephews and children figure out what you enjoy doing, then figure out how to make a career out of that. For if you really really enjoy something, you will spend hours doing it well and never consider it work. If you approach it with a passion, you will discover that your efforts will be a bright spot in their life, they will seek you, they will want to do business with you.
This online log will be about opportunity. In my opinion opportunity and passion are interchangeable adjectives when describing your DREAM. Opportunity is your door way to success. It will not be a successful opportunity unless you have a passion for it. For many your opportunity will be clear. Something that you love doing, something you would do if you were paid or not. For many (most) your opportunity is not clear.
Obviously from the title of this chapter, my passion... my opportunity is direct selling. No, I did not blurt out as a 5 year old... "I want to be a direct seller!" I wanted to be an attorney. I did that for over 15 years, discovered as many individuals that the dreams of a 5 year old did not match the reality of the job.
I moved on and tried a variety of professions, trying to figure out what really inspired me. It wasn't until my wife got involved with Direct Sales that I discovered the concept of "Working for Yourself - BUT - Not by yourself." I was amazed at the opportunity that was available.
THE INCOME - THE FREEDOM - THE FRIENDS - THE LIFESTYLE
Like a lot of things in life, the first attempts at direct selling were not overwhelming successful. I had to learn the art and the science of direct selling. It is not the same as retails sales, it is not the same as B2B sales for a company. This is all about building relationships.
